I have it...........

The doctor's office called today and the results of my 3 hour glucose test are in. I do have gestational diabetes for the second time. I go in next Wednesday for an appointment with the perinatalogist and nutritionist. I am really not looking forward to going through this process again. I am glad that I have only gained 5 pounds so far. Now that I will be on the super strict diet and exercise plan again that should work in my favor. I gotta look at what positive there is..........

  1. Oh no!! Don't worry it will all be Ok. If you've had it before you know the drill, it's not such a shock. I understand that you're not looking forward to it. Pregnancy is for eating and lounging around, not dieting and excercising. Watch your heartbeat when you excercise and make sure you rest if it triggers Braxton Hicks! That happened to me a lot when I had it and overdid the activity. Take care xx

  2. Sorry you will gave to do GD again! I've done it 4 times and while it's a bummer, I think I have always been healthiest when I am on the diet! Hang in there! Here are some of my favorite, high protien snacks that got me through it... hummus with whole grain crackers, cottage cheese mixed with yogurt (to add protien and cut the sweetness), Pizza toppings on a thin omlet crust, and when we wanted to go out, I would down a 100% protein shake (nasty, but no carbs) before hand and it helped!   4. Bummer, so sorry to hear about the GD diagnosis. It is a good thing that you have been there/done that already so you will be a pro! Don't sweat it, just stick to it and you will have a healthy, beautiful baby girl in no time which makes all the hard work worth it!!!
